I saw that Miller CD box set at Tower Records in Torrance, CA when I
worked there as shift manager in the mid-90s; even with an employee
discount I couldn't begin to afford it. I can't see why BMG could issue
things like the big Heifetz box and not that set domestically; all they
needed to do was translate the book.

Here is my digitization of the first track on the big, gold crushproof
LP set. This crappy mp3 really doesn't give you the sound of the wav,
but all I did in transferring was take out the ticks.

Why did I bother to digitize this? This is one thing that I was never
able to find on the numerous CD issues of anything Miller. Even this is
a huge improvement over those ill-advised stereo reissues Helen Gabriel
supervised for RCA in the 60s-70s.

Thanks, Dave! Always a pleasure to hear this track again. All the RCA
Miller live material was issued in a massive 21-LP, then a 13-CD box by
RCA
Japan in the 1990s. Try finding a copy, though!
