Is that for a 500 note or a series statement?
For a 500 notes, that appendix cited below is correct.
For a series statement, the rule has changed and you change vol. to v. LCRI App. B.5

Thank you, but I don't see an LCRI for B.5B, only B.5.
There's a note in AACR2 B.9 that says
Use [vol. and vols.] at the beginning of a statement and before
a roman numeral.
but that doesn't cover this case. Or does 'beginning of a statement'
mean numbering?
