Another server (OPS/Orbeon) based solution might be of interest -
muradora a front end to fedora:
http://www.muradora.org/muradora/wiki/MultipleMetadataSupport .
At the client side Mozilla provides a plugin to firefox
(http://www.mozilla.org/projects/xforms/) enabling direct execution of
xforms. A simple demo using this approach can be found at:
http://demo.ait.co.at/exist/ESE-Demonstrator/xforms/editor.xhtml .
