I have found some problems with the Arabic examples. In going from
left-to-right to right-to-left, some of the words in Arabic have been
transposed. Also, rather picayune but the punctuation of the 580 example
("split into...") is slightly off.

I have attached a Word 2007 document with the examples fixed. I have
also included one more (a 490:1) just in case we want more useful examples.

I also have a question: as you know documents in Arabic script represent
a particular problem for Romanization because, with a few exceptions,
they do not include "short" vowels. I think the guidelines provided in
Princeton's Arabic cataloging manual
(http://library.princeton.edu/departments/tsd/acm/descr/roman.html) are
pretty good in this respect. Under 3.1, should we include a section
paraphrasing those rules, or just mention the problem and cite the URL?
