Thanks Ken. By now I have a practiced apprciation for the people
bragging on their systems. (must include you too now!)
Week or so ago I assisted some friends moving some 540 pound (each!)
Dunleavy speakers from one house to another, and enjoyed the two
dinners provided as reward. I was pleased to find out that one of
them uses the same kind of amp that I use in my humble music PA
system (QSC) and asked some intelligent questions about how to
improve my system within my budget...
The bonus is I have persmisison to use the magnificent speakers to
preview and mix and master some of my projects!
The thing about audiphile (phool?) friends is that indeeed thier
systems sound great, if I can sneak some better music onto them, and
it itakes wile to avoid the bombastic sorts of demonstrations they
like to set up. But I listened to the new Beatles remasters on them
last week and was mightly pleased, and got some high prioces for my
mixes on a recent live band recording project I did. So all's well,
and we can get along fine!
Thanks for the comment and the smile,
Lou
