Hi,
This is my first post to this forum although I’ve been lurking on and off.
Anyway,
Although it’s an interesting technological twist to the world of optical media,
I haven’t seen any empirical evidence to support their thousand year claim. At
$6.40 per GB, the price is prohibitive, particularly for large collections.
Curiously, they link to the WIRED magazine article from their website which is
not that flattering.
Meanwhile, current optical media, even the dye layer versions, is expected to
outlast the format itself. Just make sure you use the best quality media.
And………Migrate! Migrate! Migrate!
Cheers!
