There is a new book, "Alex Steinweiss. The Inventor of the Modern Album
Cover.  I helped out getting some of the categorizing and dating figured
out.  

 

It was published in September, 2009 by Taschen, in a limited, signed, art
edition (100 copies at $ 1,000) and a limited, numbered, signed edition
(1,500 copies at $ 500.)  I'm told the trade edition will appear shortly.  

 

I'm not sure how the ARSC Awards committee rules work in terms of the year
into which this falls, since inspection copies of the limited edition may
not yet be available for review.  I'm sending this email to the folks at
Taschen and you guys can follow up with them.
