I endeavored over the course of many months to rip DATs in the manner
one contributor to this thread advised with nothing but frustration to
show for my effort. He and I both tried 3 different drives, numerous
firmware and software versions and both applications that purport to
make it possible. If you are the type of person that enjoys a challenge
dealing with issues related to legacy software and hardware go for it.
But, be prepared to spend a couple hundred dollars and many hours of
time for no result. I would bet a substantial sum that you will fail.
