HI!
Here comes a subject I really hope will make an interesting discussion on
the forum:
What is your opinions to add reverb as a step to enhance the sound on old 78
rpm discs?
Remember the late Robert Parker who made a radio series and a CD series
called "Jazz classics in digital stereo". His attitude was to make those old
recordings tailored to a younger public using hi-fi equipment and had no
special knowledge to 78's and old recording techniques?
On the other hand we have the late John R.T. Davies whos name is found on
numberous re-issues of vintage jazz LP's and CD's. His attitude was to add
nothing, but do the very best he could from the original recording so that
the original sound was preserved for the future.
SO, what kind of opinions to you all have out of this?
Hope for many interesting matters!
Best regards
Jan
