Hi Tom-
I guess the operative condition may be "good hearing." I have old semi
functional ears, but I can easily detect recordings done at 128, and
sometimes at 192. I cannot tell the difference between a CD and 320. It
might be interesting to have a significant sample of folks of all ages
listen to various kinds of music at different resolutions, l and actually
determine what is distinguishable and what is not.
