Restoring the original ambiance to a 78 that has been processed with noise reduction software which has lost some of the highs most likely and also the subtle ambiance/open sound of the original recording location.
Sound Forge and other software have among the reverb configurations some "ambiance" enhancement settings.
Unlike reverb that can actually dull the transparency of the sound the ambiance can recreate that original openness of the sound used sparingly.
