Dear Colleagues,
Mark your calendar for the following FLICC preservation programs:
On February 23, 2010, 9:30 am-12:30 pm, the FLICC Disaster Preparedness Working Group presents the latest in the continuing series of Safety Net programs. Representatives from Heritage Preservation, FEMA and other organizations will update us on several national initiative activities in the area of disaster planning and recovery that may be of interest to federal agencies. The program will conclude with a tour of the new Library of Congress mold remediation space in the Preservation Directorate.
In the afternoon of February 23, 1:30-4:00 pm, the Preservation & Digitization Working Group will host a briefing on how federal agencies in the Washington, DC area can use the new GPO contract for library binding and general collection repairs. For information on the contract
specifications, please visit http://www.loc.gov/flicc/about/FLICC_WGs/preservation/405-S-final2009.pdf.
Both programs will be held at the Library of Congress in the Mumford Room and are free of charge. To register one or both programs, please send email to Anne Harrison on [log in to unmask]
