Hi Everyone -
I thought that there might be some interest in the federal library
community about a collection of National Park Service historical reports
that have been digitized and made available to the public through the Park
Service's website. Details about the latest additions to the collection,
the collection as a whole, and links to the site are available below.
Thanks.

Subject: Latest Additions to NPS Park History Electronic Library
George,
FYI....
Latest Editions to NPS Park History Electronic Library
The NPS History Web site is proud to announce the latest additions to our
ever expanding library of electronic publications. We're now approaching
nearly 4,000 books, reports and articles, covering a range of subjects. As
we embark on another decade, we continue to strive to provide online
editions of a wide array of new, rare, and hard-to-find materials about our
parks and the Park Service.
The following is just a sampling of some of the collections that we have
online: Archeological Research/Anthropological Papers, Field Division of
Education reports, Historical and Natural History Handbooks, Scientific
Monographs, Interpretive, Popular Study, and Source Book Series,
Transactions and Proceedings and Urban Ecology Series, Fauna of the
National Park and Occasional Papers, an extensive collection of
Administrative Histories, Historic Resource / Structure / Furnishing
Studies/Reports, a growing collection of USGS-produced studies on geology
of our parks, plus selected issues of newsletters such as The Regional
Review, Region III Quarterly, Southwestern Monuments Monthly Reports, and
Nature Notes. Several publishers (such as Eastern National, Western
National Parks Association, University of Oklahoma Press, to name a few)
have graciously allowed us to host electronic editions of classic books
about the National Park Service.
If you recently sent me a suggestion for new material and do not see your
request reflected in the list below, please be patient. We have a large
backlog of studies and other projects in-work. As always, your comments or
suggestions on how to make this a more useful resource is always
appreciated, and be sure to check http://www.nps.gov/history/history/ for
the latest electronic documents.
