To add data to SF-LIT's ongoing music/engineering/mathematics correlation study
For what it's worth, my doctorate is in vegetable crop physiology/biochemistry though I work in the field of agricultural engineering -- anyways, I can't hold a beat (I'm told), can't sing (my kids run screaming) even with a karaoke system, can't dance in synch with a beat (drives my wife crazy) and can't play any other instrument than the kazoo, even if my life depended upon it -- I do enjoy listening to many types of music, but otherwise I suspect I am genetically homozygous recessive for the gene that confers musical ability. And I enjoy mathematics, especially classical Euclidian geometry.
