What are the matrix numbers? My DG shows Conqueror 9097 to date from c.
1938; at that time, Holiday's recordings were issued under her name on
were probably also pressed (for Sears) on Conqueror. All of the other
labels had been discontinued (Vocalion excepted); CBS had already bought out
but it would be several more months before CBS started pressing "red"
AFAIK, Sears NEVER had any recordings cut specifically for their own sale;
their recordings appeared on a number of "client labels" pressed
specifically for them!
The only Sears-sold 78's (of which I am aware) not specifically traced to
were their very last "Silvertone Record Club" issues of 1946; these probably
from Mercury (?!) but did not appear on that label...?!
