Joshua P. Barton & Lucas Wing Kau Mak, Michigan State University will
provide an overview of the sessions given in the ALCTS Catalog Form and
Function Interest Group at ALA Midwinter

will include highlights from their own presentation "To Fix A Leaky
Sink: Envisioning The Potential of Discovery Layers," an overview of how
the continuing development of discovery layers could allow libraries to
reassess their underlying catalog architecture and the role and scope of
the local catalog. Additionally the presenters will give their impressions
from the other three presentations on various approaches in drawing
metadata from the ILS and other sources for use in discovery interfaces.
