Hi Barbara and Leslie --
Barbara, thank you for sharing the link for the British "Connected
History" effort (another here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8577164.stm ).
And Leslie, it's heartening to read that someone in the US is doing
something similar, though I read that yours will cover 140 collections
selected from 24 member libraries in the Philadelphia area.
Does anyone know of others in the states who are working on something
like this? It would be terrific if we could manage a collaborative
project for the entire US. Perhaps regional area search engines would
be the middle step.
