Subject : Digital talking-book duplication and labeling training
The digital talking-book duplication and labeling training module is now available on the
Network Library Services Digital Talking Book Training Program for Network Libraries
(http://www.loc.gov/nls/digitalbooktraining/index.html). The module will teach library
staff to:
-- Identify sources for duplication and labeling hardware, software, and supplies
-- Apply write protection to cartridges, unzip digital files, copy single or multiple digital
talking books, and prepare cartridges for reuse
-- Create cartridge and container labels
The training module contains a link to the new version of the print/braille labeling
software on the "How do I acquire hardware, software, and blank labels?" page. This
software version includes the ability to create labels for digital cartridges and their
containers and supports the Enabling Technologies Romeo Pro LE Wide embosser in
addition to the Braille Blazer. The software can be downloaded from Data Management
at http://dmm.datamanagement.com/pbl32/pbl320.zip.
Data Management will continue to provide telephone support for the software.
