Hello,
Can anyone help please with information regarding a film - apparently screened in London, (UK) - in August 1929.
The UK 'Melody Maker' magazine for September 1929 reports : " Six of the stars from Ben Pollack's American Band - Jimmy MacPartland, Jack Teagarden, Bennie Goodman, Dick Morgan, Vic Breidis and Ray Baduc, accompanied Estelle Brody in a ten minutes short, which was given its first presentation in this country at the Capital, Haymarket last month.
The short is entitled 'Me and the Boys'. MacPartland, Teagarden and Morgan are featured in a vocal trio" . . . etc etc.
It is possible (not certain) that a Victor Saville for 'British International Pictures' was involved in some way. My enquiries, so far, suggest no copies of this film exist in UK libraries.
Thanks,
Russ Barnes (Dorset, UK)
