Hey Shai,
Though I don't know the exact coding techniques, it can be done. This
radio station I listen to organizes all their online archives in just such a
manner. All the audio is streaming, and when you browse the playlist, select
a song, it brings you to that point in the broadcast and plays it. Though in
this example it does not stop when that particular song is over, you may be
able to code it in just that way.

Maybe checking their source code you can get some ideas on how they did it.
