To those attending the Operations Committee meeting this year,

This year's BIBCO/CONSER OpCo Meeting Dinner will be held at 6:00 PM
on
Thursday, May 6th, at Banana Café and Piano Bar, a Latin American
Cuisine restaurant located at 500 8th Street, SE.  This restaurant is
approximately five blocks from the Library of Congress, or one block
from the Eastern Market Metro Station. The restaurant is wheelchair
accessible.

Banana Café and Piano Bar has offered a nice selection of items from
their menu for our dinner.  The selections include: Salad (with
chicken
or beef), chicken, beef, pork, fish and vegetarian entrees, most
served
with beans and rice.  Soft drink and/or iced Tea are part of the
dinner
(please see menu details below). The price for the dinner is $21.00
per
person (this includes 10% tax and 18% gratuity)

This dinner will be an enjoyable event, and we hope you can join us.  

Please respond to David Maya-Hernandez, Program Assistant at
[log in to unmask] or by phone at (202) 707-6541, no later than Tuesday,
May 4th, if you plan to join us for the dinner on May 6th.  Please
include your meal selection when you RSVP.  David will be at the OpCo
meeting on May 6, during the morning break and prior to lunch, to
collect money and to provide receipts. All payments should be in cash
and correct change will be appreciated!

MENU (all listed items are entrees please select one)

VEGETARIAN ENTREES

- Ensalada Tropical
Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, hearts of palm, mushroom and
Spanish onions.

- Carribean Vegetarian Combo
Includes a tamal de elote, grilled vegetables, plantains, fried yuca,
guacamole, white rice and black beans.

CHICKEN ENTREES

- Ensalada Tropical topped with grilled chicken
Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, hearts of palm, mushroom and
Spanish onions, topped with chicken.

- Chicken Fajitas
Grilled to perfection with genuine Mexican mesquite wood and served
with guacamole, pico de gallo, red beans, yellow rice and flour
tortillas.

BEEF ENTREES

- Ensalada Tropical topped with grilled beef
Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, hearts of palm, mushroom and
Spanish onions, topped with beef. 

- Beef Fajitas
Grilled to perfection with genuine Mexican mesquite wood and served
with guacamole, pico de gallo, red beans, yellow rice and flour
tortillas.

PORK ENTREES

- Carnitas Cubanas
Morsels of pork marinated criollo-style and roasted with fragrant
Sevilla's bitter oranges.  Served with yuca.

FISH ENTREES

- Pescado Criollo
Fresh fish of the day with tomatoes, cilantro, green and jalapeño
peppers and a special criollo sauce.

Soda or Iced Tea included with dinner.
