Has lisa ever replied to confirm that she indeed is faced with glass-base lacquer recording discs and not some normal shellac 78s that someone called them glass because they are breakable? She admitted she is a raw beginner, and she called them albums, not discs or records. She said there were six cubic feet of them (something that is weird archive-speak by bean counters who only care about the space they take up even if it is inappropriate). Counting the discs is what makes REAL sense! if they are 16 inchers it is more likely there 4 shelf feet not 6, so a t 75 discs per foot that is 300 discs. I always insert an aluminum disc into the sleeve and pull them BOTH out together. I never handle glass alone. To tuen it over I make a sandwhich with a second aluminum disc and turn the three discs over. And yes, there is an aluminum disc under the glass on the turntable, especially if it is a 12 inch table.
