As far as naive indexing and display of EAD goes, I wanted to bring to
your attention a plugin I just released that enables EAD indexing and
display for Blacklight. This is a very simple, rudimentary
implementation that indexes a single EAD as a single Solr document.

I pushed out this plugin in the hopes that it would help push forward
this discussion as well as help improve indexing and display of EAD
for Solr-powered interfaces. If you already have Rails 2.3.5 installed
the README gives simple instructions for installing Blacklight and
this plugin to get some sample data indexed.
