For what it's worth there isn't a grid reference system in the US that
has widespread adoption like the Ordnance Survey system. Nonetheless,
there doesn't seem to be a good or obvious way to add them. One
possibility would be to use either the AUTHFILENUMBER or the NORMAL
attributes on <geogname/>. I'd be inclined to choose the former.
There might also be the potential to specify the grid reference as an
URI, given that the Ordnance Survey has made some data available as
Linked Data (see ). I'm not sure if they're supporting grid
references as URIs yet, though.
