Hello Eric...
That eraser was intended to erase reels of 2" tape for a Soundscriber audio
logger used by many radio stations in the 60's. It recorded transverse tracks
and were terrible machines but they did serve the purpose.
It is not very useful for 1/4" reels of tape and probably not for anything more
than brown oxide. It leaves huge magnetic thumps on the tapes if you are not
VERY careful.
