WOW! I haven't seen or heard his name in many years.
I used to own The Record Hunter chain of retail stores in Manhattan & dealt
with Boris. He had quite a few rather unique and interesting recordings on
LPs.
We successfully handled his LPs until being told to stop by one or more of
the major labels. it's so long ago that I don't remember who or which labels
they were from. However, at the time, they did make it clear that they were
prepared to take legal action. We just stopped buying his titles rather than
risk difficulty with the authorities. Our business was so good that we did
not need to take those kinds of risks.
I'm sorry to learn that he passed away, he was a nice guy & very
knowledgeable about his product.
