I love eBay.Since 1999 I have bought and sold thousands of records there, probably about 60% selling, and 40% buying.I have been able to get unheard of prices, for things like very obscure 60-70s jazz, that I sold in the high hundreds.Paid for my last couple of new computers that way.
In the first few years I could find things like rare non-US psychedelic 45s at under $10.00,or ridiculously rare 1920s German classical 78s for a Euro or two,or very choice 1950s rock and R&B Lps,and EPs,worth hundreds,at under $20.00 a pop.It was incredible, but about late 2007-early 2008,the bargains began to dry up,but it was still a better selection, and prices, than any record store here in NM.These are places that stick $50 price tags on VG mono Rolling Stones or Kinks Lps.And they do this, because they know some sucker, either some white haired boomer, who doesn't like the web,or some green horn kid new to vinyl,is going to buy it,regardless of the economy.
Sadly this is the way most record stores have gotten in the age of eBay and the web.and it is only going get worse. There is one of those indoor flea market stores I go to a lot, that still has a couple of booths, that are sometimes like good used record stores were back in the day, where in the last year,I have found stuff like Touch
,a couple of 60s Jewel label gospel vocal group Lps,and Living Stereo Sam Cookes at $3.50-7.00 each,,but this is drying up too.
Stick with eBay.

Scotti's in Morristown was rubbish last time i went a few years ago, (over
priced Velvet Underground Vynil was all) .. not sure of its current state.
Be sure to call ahead to Flipside to be sure their open, they have weird
hours. Only open 3-4 days a week, but its a great place. Small Cramped and
I think there was a talk a few months ago which said Princton was less than
great. And their best stuff is essentially on their ebay store.
I know i saved some recommended stores from that topic/thread. I'll have to
dig 'em up. But Philly seemed like it has some good stuff going on if I
remember right. I'm curious to see what stores get mentioned, and your
experience with them.
