In most if not all instances these are not really re-issues but are
repackagings of in-print albums with no change in catalog numbers or
discographic data, although some of the albums might have been in
wartime "retirement". It also worked the other way around. In every
instance of pre-Steinweiss Columbia illustrated albums they reverted to
plain tombstone covers in a few years. This includes the Shakespeares
and several other albums which had glued-on photographs or other
illustrations. I have images of all of these.
