Unless I misunderstand something entirely, you could generate a regular WAV
file with your software at the resolution you require and then use a tool
(such as BWFMetaEdit: http://sourceforge.net/projects/bwfmetaedit/ ) to
write the BEXT chunk into your WAV file, therefore giving you a BWF file.
