I think it's probably the noncommercial radio production/sound effects records.The ones I used to see were all 78s,from the 40s'

Hello Steve and all...
The first thing I thought of was the Cook recording "Echoes of the Storm" but I don't think that is what he is looking for.
My area of interest is library or "mood music" of the type used by film, radio and TV for their productions... particularly the early Victor Pict-Ur Music Library, the white label Gennett 0100 series and the Brunswick Mood Accompaniment Library.
