From: Patent Tactics, George Brock-Nannestad
Hello Matt and Roger,
it is fascinating to learn what goes on in the real world! And it is proof
that what the buying (I was almost going to write "dying") or at least
collecting public wants are artefacts, something tangible. I think it is
unimaginable to have a limited-edition download file, unless you get very
sophisticated and sell an encrypted file and the programme to go along with
it, which needs a dongle to operate - hardware again.
I concur with the method of buying two, to be able to sell the reserve copy
when the price has doubled, but otherwise:
> I have signed up for 2 copies, one for me, and one to pay
> for my copy.
----- reminds me of the story of a group of men (in Denmark they are from the
region Mols, in the US from Poland, in the UK from Ireland) who were digging
a hole, and had nowhere to put the pile of dirt they dug up. Until someone
said "why not dig a hole that is big enough to take both piles" . . . . . .
I personally have been observed buying an inexpensive identical copy of
something I have paid too much for. This brings the average price into a
comfortable range!
Kind regards,
George
