Aaron hit the nail on the head -- self respect. Nobody is making a
beeline to get their recordings transferred on a wow-fulled rumbly
record player with an Astatic ceramic power-point with a (probably) 3.0
mil conical point. Self respect would not allow admission that this is
the peak of performance you are STRIVING for as a multi-year quest,
rather than just settling for because you only have (self-admittedly)
just half of one ear still operating.
