If "?" and "~" “apply … to the entire portion of the string to their left, unless immediately preceded by parenthesis” then the example at #302 is incorrect; it should be “2004(-06)?” or perhaps “2004-(06)?”. Both #302 and #304 should use hyphen separators to make it clear whether the separator should be inside or outside the parentheses. (They should also include an example without separators iff you decide to keep #201 and #202, dates without hyphens and times without colons, which as I said in a previous post, I think is a bad idea.)
