The Triangle Research Library Network catalog includes both MARC and
EAD. You can see a search here for archival materials from NCSU

I can't speak too much to what goes into making this work in Search
TRLN, but I believe they have a process where MARC records can be
merged with the EAD.
I'd be interested in other examples where both MARC (for various kinds
of standard cataloged materials) and EAD are in the same catalog.
