I am also a photographer (that means that I shot film once upon a time!), and know that Kodak
Photoflo is essentially a detergent, whose function is to reduce surface tension so that water will
drain evenly from drying film so as not to leave spots. In that sense, I think it's precisely the opposite
of what one would want in a humidifier. I do recall seeing somewhere in the Venta literature that the
additive will also compensate to some extent for extremely hard water, so perhaps it will work for
you too?
