It's not.  He asked for WHITE tape, not clear.  How could clear tape be 
"perfect for covering up old writing on tape boxes"?  He also needed 
something that would release without residue.  But while we are on the 
subject of clear tapes, Scotch makes one in a blue box that is like the 
green box magic tape except that it has an easy release glue for 
temporary uses.
