Fares on my route have actually dropped $50 from the time I posted this message, but seats are going fast and the sale ends Thursday. I just booked my tickets on Frontier and can now rest easy.

Frontier airlines has just posted sale fares to Los Angeles from many US cities. Other airlines are also offering lower fares for the week of May 10, though travel after the 14th is still showing at a higher rate.
