The Solfège was published in 1967 as a set of sound illustrations to
Traité des objets musicaux, with booklet in French, German and English
(not too good) and three LPs. In 1983 there was a three cassette
edition, without booklet, to coincide with the publication of Michel
Chion's Guide des objets sonores. In the nineties and 2000s, there
have been two or three three-CD editions, with revised booklet,
Spanish replacing German as the third language and cosmetic
improvements to the English version. So far as I am aware, there have
been no English language reviews. Th work was probably too original
for anyone to dare.

> I'm seeking reviews of Pierre Schaeffer's "Solfege de l'objet sonore," a
> thick booklet published with LPs in in 1966 or 7, again on CD, P 1998.
> All I find on line are quotes from the booklet that accompanies the CDs.
> It could be in music, music theory, electronic music, muisc library or other
> magazine or journals.
> Did Notes cover it?
> Any help appreciated.
