I want to clarify why I chose data sets supporting career development using discipline specific approach as I posted to the list yesterday.

The SW killer apps shall reflect mission critical operations of library community, and at the same time, enable things that are not possible to do in the past in terms of scalability, configurability, ease of aggregation or dis-aggregation, machine-processing, robust, quality, reuse, lifecycle management, sustainability, etc.

In other words, it's not for the sake of technologies that we introduced SW techs. It's for better community engagement and survival of the social identity of librarianship.

Seeking employment using career resources provided by libraries has reflected as one of the value-propositions of librarianship. It's a great way to engage lib community, and make our effort visible and quantifiable.

The message that I posted yesterday only quoted one group that I had interaction with. I'm sure many of you have a lot more such experience than I do. Together we will be able to lead the effort for speed recovery of the economy from the perspective of librarianship. Many, many thanks!!!
