IIRC, my calculation on lps is 75-80 per foot, varying depending on whether they are gatefold, double lp, etc.

Hi All:
Are there any rules of thumb about how many LPs, on average there are per foot of horizontal space? Same for CDs? Perhaps it's per yard or some other measure?
Obviously, this would be "on average," not an exact measure because some CDs are in thin cases and some LPs are in gatefolds while others are in multi-albums. Also some 2CD cases are double-wide while some are single-wide, etc etc etc.
Thanks!
