Hi Tom,
I've had the problem with both 7 & 9, when installing the software for a
second time on a different PC. That said, I've installed both versions
since on different PC's without a glitch so perhaps something changed in
that regard.
I've been using Sound Forge starting with version 3.5 (still have the CD)
but haven't found a compelling reason to move beyond 9. Their CD authoring
software was the reason I bought Sound Forge in the first place. I needed
to master some live recordings and they had the only authoring software
that allowed the user to drop a track ID anywhere without the required 2
seconds of digital black.
Cheers!
