Steve,
Ah, but what if you are mapping a large collection with both images of chairs and nativities?

Subject: Re: Mapping single source element to Core 4 Work and Image
Hi Greg and list,
Good question. Does it depend on what the work is? My own sense of logic--uninformed by the practice of others--says that for a photo of a chair, the chair is the subject of the image. For a photo of a painting of a nativity, nativity is the subject of the work.
If the common practice is different than mine, could someone please explain?
Thanks,
Steve

Hello List,
What is the best approach when mapping data to Core 4 from a source schema doesn't make a distinction between Work and Image?
For instance, if the source data has a single Subject element and the data values seem evenly divided between Work and Image subjects, would you place it in Core 4 Work or Image?
Thanks,
