data & element, the mixed nature is not at all in discussion here
2)
did is "A required wrapper element that bundles other elements
identifying core information about the described materials", it is not
functionally a label. A label is rather a formatting element.

<unittitle> allows a
mix of both text and elements.
5) the data within
unittitle and
unitdate is not "label", it's just the information
conveyed by those
elements.
These elements appear in the descriptive
identifier (did) which I think is
fair to think of as functionally a
label.
