Hi Lou:
WAF = Wife Acceptance Factor. The larger the speakers, the more exposed the equipment innards, the
uglier the front panel, the lower the WAF.
A room with exposed tubes hot and glowing, wires everywhere and multiple speakers taking up space
intended for furniture has a WAF of zero or near-zero.
Interesting to note that one of the regular features of Audio and High Fidelity in the late 50's and
throughout the 60's -- as audio systems became less the activity of odd geeks with stacks of records
and not a woman in sight -- were feature articles on stereo systems well hidden in chic home decor.
Some of the designs were gorgeous and would demand top dollar today because they are exactly the
kind of retro that is popular now (think "Mad Men").

I'm a bit late to Tom's original post. What is WAF? I think I get the gist.

I find www.mediafire.com to be a much better site.
