...Brooklyn's great, but kind of a schlep if you only have an afternoon. Stay in Newark, go to Je's Soul Food, then drop by WBGO a full time jazz station. If you call in advance you might get a tour of the station. I believe they also have a public gallery of jazz inspired art and photography. If you're lucky you might get to meet Dorthann Kirk, Rahsaan's widow who works at the station.
