The topic of "multilingual finding aids and guides" is wide and many
different cases occur. The message of my e-mail will not be pertinent in all
cases. It will probably seem evident and well-known to several of you. I
write it anyway because it may be useful to some of you.

The W3C has achieved a lot of great work when it comes to multilingualism,
particularly within XML files. For example
http://www.w3.org/TR/its/ may be useful to improve EAD in some cases, for
example to improve portability.
