Hi Sue:
What about the question we're asking: "Different authors occasionally
publish under the same name. Catalogers add qualifiers to their headings
or leave them 'undifferentiated.' Catalogers also often enter works in
catalogs under erroneous headings that might confuse works by different
persons regardles of 'authority work.' How important are these qualifiers
to patrons, and is a complete cleaup of databases and authority files
something taxpayers (particularly those who can't read) are willing to
fund?"
Cheers!
