I have a Zenith console with a Cobra-Matic,and the first MicroGram 2g arm, from 1962.I love it.I had one of beautiful Zenith "Black Magic" consoles from 1953 get away from me in February 2011.It was $50.00 at an "indoor flea market" store.I paid for it,and then came back to pick it up the next day.It was huge. They had forgotten to put s "SOLD" tag on it,and sold it a second time the next day.We console people are fanatical and ruthless, especially since they turn up less and less outside GREEDbay.

Oh, my. I had one of those in my early teens. I recall the cartridge and preamp clearly, but can't recall what it was used in. Possibly an upgrade to my parents' Zenith console with the Cobra arm (complete with little eyes and a two color needle case.
Note that the tube is mounted on rubber to keep it from feeding back as LF.
Thanks for the memories.
