Hi Richard:
I had a similar pile of made-for-car tapes. My solution was to give them to my 20-year-older boss
who still uses a cassette recorder for interviews he needs to transcribe. I switched to a Zoom
digital recorder a few years ago, so I had no use for the tapes. Meanwhile, he couldn't care less
that his Sony pressman-type recorder isn't designed for high-bias tapes, he can get a good enough
recording to transcribe. Well, all of that was going fine until I gave him a Tascam digital recorder
for Christmas and then that was it for that pile of tapes. I think they got chucked a month or so
ago.
