Colleagues:
With apologies for cross-posting, Music Special Collections Librarian
Maristella Feustle has created a page celebrating the 100th birthday of Don
Gillis, the composer/music educator/radio producer whose personal
collection of compositions, manuscripts, sound recordings, correspondence
and photographs has been one of the UNT Music Library's largest and most
often used since the 1990s.
http://www.library.unt.edu/music/special-collections/gillis/centennial-1 is
the link for the page, which includes newly-scanned images from the
collection, as well as links to the Digital Library which contains
Gillis-produced NBC radio shows about legendary conductor Arturo Toscanini.
